Intergroup Youth - European Parliament PDF Print E-mail

The first time the European Parliament has an intergroup on the issue Youth. On 11th February the European Parliament set up the Intergroup with the aim to involve more young people in EU affairs and encouraging active youth citizenship. Therefore the intergroup will strengthening youth policy and support an exchange between the different players in youth policy.

The Members of the intergroup want to develop policy with young people.

The initiative to set up an intergroup was made by Damien Abad (EPP, France), Ramona Manescu (Alde, Romania), Eider Gardiazabal (S&D, Spain) and Jean Lambert (Greens-EFA, UK). Damien Abad is the Chairman of the new intergroup, on of 4-Vice-Chairmen is Franziska Katharina Brantner (Greens-EFA, Germany).
