At the beginning of December, the new programme guide for the Youth in Action programme has been published. It includes the necessary information about the priorities, actions and main features of the Programme as well as the criteria and conditions on how to participate. The Programme Guide will be valid as of the 1st of January 2012 and will replace the current one. For 2012 and 2013 an “Eastern Partnership Youth Window” is foreseen. It will support cooperation between the countries of the EU and the neighbouring countries of east Europe in the field of youth. The national agencies will have access to a budget of 19 million Euros for the implementation of Youth in Action in the context of the Eastern Partnership.

Due to the results of the mid-term evaluation and the stakeholders’ consultation the priorities for the programme Europe for Citizens has been revised. The programme will be still implemented by the 4 Programme actions, but the deadlines have been adjusted. The new deadline for some actions is now 15 February 2012.

Each year, the European Commission sets out the priorities for the EU’s Lifelong Learning Programme in a call for proposals. The 2012 call for proposals has now been published including also deadlines for applications and eligibility for the individual sub-programmes such as Leonardo or Grundtvig.
