2011-05-30 Last week the European Commission has published the outcomes of the consultation on the future programme generation in the fields of education and youth. Thousands of organisations and individuals expressed their expectations for the future of the Youth in Action Programme and the Lifelong Learning Programme. A majority desires the continuity of the running programmes. |

2011-05-23 From 19 to 20 May the Education, Youth, Culture and Sport Ministers met in Brussels in order to discuss a broad range of issues from the education and youth sector. The ministers discussed the participation of young people in democratic life in Europe, the results of the structured dialogue with young people on youth employment and voluntary activities of young people in the context of the European Year for Volunteering 2010. In the education sector the minister talked about early school leaving, the promotion of learning mobility and early childhood education. |

2011-05-18 This article is not available in English. Bereits zum vierten Mal vergeben die Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung/bpb und die Robert Bosch Stiftung 2011/2012 Stipendien an junge politische Bildner und Bildnerinnen aus Bulgarien, Estland, Lettland, Litauen, Polen, Rumänien, der Slowakei, Slowenien, Tschechien und Ungarn. 8 Stipendien werden im Mid-Term-Programm (MTP, Aufenthaltsdauer 8-10 Wochen) und 8 Stipendien im Long-Term-Programm (LTP, Aufenthaltsdauer 4-6 Monate) ausgeschrieben. Ziel des Programms ist es, den Austausch, die Vernetzung und die kreativen Köpfe der politischen Bildung in Europa zu fördern. Eine Bewerbung ist noch bis zum 25. Mai 2011 möglich.
